Don’t expect to see Ashlee Simpson back on “Saturday Night Live” any time soon to promote her new album “Bittersweet World.” An insider said her father, Joe Simpson, “wanted her to go on ‘SNL’ - where her first appearance, in 2004, was marred by her lip-synching fiasco - and they said no.” Word is Ashlee was “a pain” during her time at “SNL” and the producers have notoriously long memories. A rep for Ashlee said, “We’re not doing ‘SNL’ because they’re dark the week we are here in April and there were no other opportunities later in the year.”

They say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. But when it comes to George Clooney’s girlfriend, former go-go dancer Sarah Larson, evidence of her wild escapades has been spilling out of Sin City like quarters from a slot machine!
“Sarah looks like she totally belongs, walking down the red carpet on George’s arm,” a source close to her tells Star. “She’s even been described as having a successful runway and print modeling career. But until recently, her modeling career consisted mostly of being paid by promoters for clubs, magazines and radio stations to attend special events in sexy outfits and party with her wild girlfriends!
“Sarah is outgoing and fun and loves to drink. She likes to get wasted when she goes out — but hey, that’s what Vegas is all about!” In one risqué set of photos taken in July 2007 — one month after she first met George, 46, at the Palms resort — Sarah, 29, is wearing a short dress and has her legs wrapped around a man holding her up against a wall in the middle of a crowded Vegas nightclub.
The next day, Sarah — who appears to be drunk — is pictured wearing a bikini at a huge, outdoor pool party at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, kneeling on all fours with her backside in the air as she licks the cover of a magazine lying on the ground. She’s also shown rolling around on the floor as she wrestles a bikini-clad blonde!
“That’s our Sarah!” says the source. “She’s not shy in the slightest. She loves hamming it up and is never embarrassed. That’s the Sarah everyone in Vegas remembers, not the girl dressed in Valentino minding her manners for the cameras with George at the Oscars!”

Giada De Laurentiis Welcomes a Baby Girl!

Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis is the new mother of a baby girl. “De Laurentiis and husband Todd Thompson welcomed their first child, a healthy baby girl, on Saturday March 29 in Los Angeles,” her rep tells PEOPLE. “Jade Marie De Laurentiis Thompson weighed in at 5lbs, 13oz.”
The baby is the first for the Food Network star and Today show contributor, 37, and her husband since 2003, Todd Thompson, 44, a clothing designer. “When I found out I was pregnant I was in complete shock,” De Laurentiis said last November, when the baby news was first announced. “I truly didn’t believe it. I honestly thought, ‘There has got to be a mistake.’ ”
By February, she was saying of the physical changes overtaking her – and her sudden cravings for steak – “I couldn’t be more excited about being pregnant. … I can’t wait to meet her.”

It’s love - love for Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker – they’re engaged! The tennis star is officially off the market after popping the question to Decker last Tuesday, sources, including Decker’s rep, confirm to People Magazine.
The pair, who have been dating since 2007, first met after Roddick, 25, asked his agent to track down a number for Decker, 20, a model who has appeared in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. No word yet on a wedding date.
Random thought…Brooklyn Decker sounds like a cheeseburger to me.

Heath Ledger May Have Had a Love Child?

Heath Ledger may have had a love child, his estranged uncle, Haydn Ledger, is telling the Australian media. The actor — who died of a prescription drug overdose in January at the age of 28 — had a fling with a 25-year-old woman when he was 17. The woman learned she was pregnant after their relationship ended.
The woman was living with another man at the time of the affair, but Haydn says, “there is a very real possibility that Heath was the father.” Ledger has a daughter, Matilda, 2, with actress Michelle Williams. It remains unclear if the love child would be supported financially by Ledger’s family.
The actor’s will (written before Matilda’s birth) left everything to his parents and three sisters. But his father, Kim, said Matilda “will be taken care of.”

Fergie and Quentin Tarantino celebrated their birthdays with a joint bash last night in Las Vegas. “We wanted to do something that was crazy and a lot of fun,” she told Usmagazine.com. The pair — who filmed a hot and heavy love scene in Tarantino’s 2007 flick Grindhouse — spent the afternoon with friends at the Mirage Hotel’s Bare Pool Lounge.
Fergie (who turned 33) and Tarantino (who turned 45) caught the 7 p.m. performance of Cirque du Soleil’s Beatle-themed show “LOVE.”
They then partied into the early morning hours at club Jet with Fergie’s fiancé Josh Duhamel, Daryl Hannah, and rapper Nelly. They hung out in the super secured vip area with a great amount of friends and family. At 2:30 a.m. at Jet, Fergie and Tarantino were presented with a birthday cake and then snuck into the employee hallway to have a food fight.
Further putting those pregnancy rumors to rest, Fergie sipped on wine throughout the night.
