Michael Lohan thinks his daughter Lindsay is drinking again. He thinks Samantha Ronson is to blame.
“I’ve been up and down the road (in discussions) with my ex-wife (Dina) and it’s to the point now that I’m going to confront Samantha and Jenny Muro (Lindsay’s production assistant) myself,” Michael says of why he is speaking out. “Samantha drinks and passes the drinks under the table to Lindsay, and behind the scenes it gets worse and worse,” says Lohan. “Sam is using my daughter. My daughter isn’t working because she’s always with Sam. Even my ex-wife knows it. She just isn’t doing anything about it.”
It has recently been reported Sam is set to write a tell all book about her life, no doubt a huge part of that will include Lindsay Lohan. The Lohan family feels Sam is using Lindsay to gain fame, and that no one even knew who she was before she started dating Lindsay.

Britney Spears manager says she won’t be performing on this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
“Contrary to media reports, Britney was never slated to perform on this year’s VMAs,” Larry Rudolph, Spears’ manager at Jive Records, said in a statement. “She’s in the middle of recording her next album, which is going amazingly well, and her focus remains on the studio.”
Britney Spears’ “Gimme More” comeback performance during last year’s VMAs was one of the most-talked-about moments of 2007 (see performance above). This VMAs will air live Sept. 7 from Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles.
Michael Lohan has recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend Erin Muller.
“We picked out a ring, but it’s not official,” the 48-year-old Lohan patriarch said. But although Muller, 24, has accepted his proposal, and he’s not exactly keeping the nuptial news under wraps, he says he’s holding off on officially announcing the engagement until “some family issues are resolved.”

Katie Holmes is in the revival of All My Sons on Broadway. Thing is, the show isn’t drawing ticket sales like it was supposed to, even though other Broadway shows are doing well.
Although some people blame the economy, other Broadway shows — like Mamma Mia — are selling out.
“It did not sell like they had hoped for,” a Broadway insider tells Star. “To the theatergoing crowd, generally an older audience, Katie’s not a ‘name’ like Julia Roberts, whose run in Three Days of Rain sold out immediately. Katie hasn’t done anything Broadway patrons recognize her for — except maybe marrying Tom Cruise.”
Anne Hathaway laid it all on the chopping block when it comes to her political views on Barack Obama.
“I was kind of afraid of Obama the first time I saw him,” she told the Associated Press at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. “I thought, ‘I’ve been burned by guys like you before.’
“I’ve been burned by politicians before that I wanted to believe in and just didn’t live up to it,” the newly single star explained. “And I was afraid to trust him and I was afraid to have hope when I first kind of became aware of him.”
