Britney Spears Will Not Perform at this Years VMAs

Britney Spears manager says she won't be performing on this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

"Contrary to media reports, Britney was never slated to perform on this year's VMAs," Larry Rudolph, Spears' manager at Jive Records, said in a statement. "She's in the middle of recording her next album, which is going amazingly well, and her focus remains on the studio."


Britney Spears' "Gimme More" comeback performance during last year's VMAs was one of the most-talked-about moments of 2007 (see performance above). This VMAs will air live Sept. 7 from Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles.

Wow, I remembered watching this on TV and thinking, what the hell is she on. At that time we all know that she had put on weight and all, but now that she's on track and toned up, looking back it has that "ouch" quality. I'm glad she has her father watching over her and the courts approving it, she's a great performer. She really is and when it's time, there's no doubt that she will really make up for that '07 VMA performance.

There is a rumor going round that VMA wants Michael Jackson to appear.
