Fox is developing a redo British "Absolutely Fabulous." The latest attempt at a U.S. rendition of "Ab Fab" will be transplanted to L.A. but retain the basic template of the original, revolving around the friendship of two boozy, over-40 best friends who are desperate to stay hip and youthful and who carry on under the disapproving eye of Edina's teenage daughter, Saffy. Hopefully this show will be as hilarious as the British version.

I really hope they do it right. The original was so amazing and hilarious

I agree with tvismygod. BBC's funny as hell. I remember watching it well over 5 years ago and I sure hope Edina's daughter has grown up by now. I think it will be to iffy to bring british comedy to LA of all places to set the stage. Good luck!

I agree with both of you.....I'd forgotten all about this...funny stuff.....it'll be great if they do it right....but the U.S. rarely properly reproduces a BBC hit.....too bad....but hey, I'm optimistic.....
