Weeks after eloping in Mexico, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have refused to make their marriage legal in the United States. On the season finale of The Hills, the couple postpones legalizing their union until Montag can have her dream wedding.

Montag’s mom Darlene Egeloff played a part in the decision telling Pratt, “I know you manipulated and plotted this whole wedding. It’s too fast, too much. You know she had dreams of a bigger wedding. I can’t let you go to the courthouse and make this wedding legal.”

Pratt has since told reporters, “Things are better since we didn’t legalize the wedding. Now I can live throughout 2009. They didn’t show the look of death in her [mom’s] eyes on the episode!

if they really are serious, which I have some serious doubts about....then it's a damn shame that she lets her mother dictate her life...if she wants to elope, let her elope, the ceremony can always be done later....sheesh

oh whatever who cares..its about the same as trying to figure out if Meredith and Derek will ever marry. Even though the "cast" says its not, it is scripted.
