Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady were engaged over the weekend, People magazine reports. A source close to the couple tells People that the New England Patriots quarterback proposed with a diamond solitaire ring on Friday and the supermodel accepted.

“He asked and she accepted,” the insider said.


The news comes weeks after rumors surfaced of an engagement over the holidays. Bundchen, 28, is expected to make an official announcement of their engagement later this week. The source adds that the couple is debating between a large spring wedding and an intimate ceremony in Costa Rica.
