Angelina Jolie says her nomination for an Academy Award is “a privilege beyond any expectation.” The 33-year-old was nominated for Best Leading Actress for her role in Clint Eastwood’s Changeling. She is up against Anne Hathaway for Rachel Getting Married, Melissa Leo for Frozen River, Meryl Streep for Doubt, and Kate Winslet for The Reader.
“Working with Clint Eastwood was a reward in itself that will last me a lifetime. It has been an exceptional year for acting, and I am honored to be in the company of these talented actors who performances all deserve this recognition,” Jolie said.
Jolie’s partner Brad Pitt was also nominated for an award. He is up for Best Leading Actor for his role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
