Madonna and her three children visited Namitete Secondary School, a day care center built by her charity Monday. Critics are slamming Madonna as she attempts to adopt a second child from this poor African nation and a judge delayed a ruling in the case until Friday.
A Malawian judge will decide Friday if Madonna will be allowed to adopt a 4-year-old girl named Mercy James from the country. The singer flew to Malawi over the weekend for a hearing on the adoption Monday. The judge read documents and questioned Madonna.
Some child advocacy groups say the 50-year-old pop star's plans to adopt a young Malawian girl have been fast-tracked because of Madonna's money and status. One accused her of acting like a rich "bully."
