Kelly McGillis is a Lesbian!

Kelly McGillis, best known for her role alongside Tom Cruise in Top Gun, has admitted she is a lesbian.

“I’m done with the man thing,” says the 51-year-old who has been married twice. “I did that, I need to move on in life. That’s another part of being true to yourself…that’s been a challenge for me personally.”


McGillis, who has battled rumors about her sexuality for many years, admits she struggled to accept her attraction to women. “I think that accepting my homosexuality was an ongoing process from the time I was about 12. I had a lot of things happened that convinced me that God was punishing me for being gay. That was a hard process,” she says.

McGillis was married to Boyd Black in 1979, but they divorced in 1981. She married Fred Tillman in 1989 and they have two daughters. McGillis and Tillman were divorced in 2002.
