Michael Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe will fight for custody of their two children, according to her former attorney Iris Finsilver. Rowe gave up custody of Prince, 12, and Paris, 11, to Jackson in their 1999 divorce. Jackson’s will names his mother, Katherine Jackson, as the children’s guardian.
“She is going to be pursuing custody of the children,” Finsilver says. “Frankly, she won’t have to fight for them. She’s the biological mother. She loves her children.”
“I want my children. I am stepping up. I have to,” Rowe told reporters.
Katherine Jackson, 79, was granted temporary custody of Prince, Paris and Blanket, Jackson’s son by an unnamed surrogate, after filing a petition for custody in a Los Angeles court.
A source says the Jackson family plan to fight for the children
