Jon & Kate Plus 8 Ratings Drop 61%

Looks like the TLC well is drying up! After a month-long hiatus, Jon & Kate Plus 8 ratings dropped a whopping 61%.

After a month-long hiatus, last night's back-to-back episodes of Jon & Kate Plus 8 brought in less than half the audience of the show's previous episode, which earned a record-breaking 10.6 million viewers. (In that episode, which aired on June 22, the couple announced they were separating after 10 years of marriage.)

Last night's first half hour, which featured Kate and the kids vacationing while Jon supervised their kitchen renovation, drew 3.9 million viewers. The following show, in which Kate went camping with the kids without Jon, was watched by 4.1 million.

That's tough love. TLC needs a pitch something along the lines of Hailey Glassman smokes bongs and engages in threesomes. Not necessarily wholesome family entertainment, but it might corral in some ratings. It's so crazy how quickly interest fades.

Gosselin in this photo looks just like the Grinch as he is trying to appear nice and Santy-Claus like, for Cindy- Lou Who.

Tell me again what this pair have ever done to get herself famous? Had a bunch of babies she couldn't afford to keep and has been out panhandling one way or the other, ever since? She's particularly repugnant.

I watched this show a few times, until it got so bad with her personality and control issues, freaking out if the kids had ice cream that might spill or her husband didn't get them their matching coat or if he breathed out of the wrong nostril. She is a MESS and from the looks of it he's like a wild animal out of a cage now that he chewed his leg off to get out of the marriage. I can't say as I blame him although I think there will be a number of drunk 23 year olds who wake up the next day and wonder what the heck they were thinking last night.

Their 15 minutes of fame is up. Free the Gosselin 8 - and bring back Little People Big World.
