Ashlee Simpson Jumps Coasts To Pretend She's An Actress

Well I don't know if failing as an actress in LA means you can bounce to New York and try to get stage acting jobs, because those are like "real" pure acting. But, for some unknown reason, Trashlee Simpson is going back there to try to get on some Broadway show.

The 25-year-old actress moved back to New York City earlier this week. “She plans on being here for three months,” a source reveals. “She’s hoping to return to the stage.” (Ashlee played the femme fatale Roxie Hart in Chicago at London’s West End in 2006.)

"Return to the stage?" Oh yeah, I forgot her long track record as a theatrical stage actor and not the younger sister of somebody famous. Right. Anyhoo, if you can't make it on f-ing Melrose Place, where can you make it? The actors on that show are basically like Chia Pets.
