Shayne Lamas arrested for DUI

Shayne Lamas, the daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas, was arrested Saturday for DUI. Lamas, 24, was arrested around 1 a.m. in Venice, California and charged with misdemeanor DUI.

“Early Saturday morning, after consuming one drink, I willingly drove through a mandatory check point on my way home with complete confidence of passing. However, the breathalyzer indicated that I was over the legal limit of blood alcohol content and was arrested onsite,” Lamas tells E! News. “I take full responsibility for my lack of judgment. I have always strived to be a role model for my friends, family and fans and have never nor will ever condone drinking and driving. I apologize for all those I have disappointed, including myself.”

Lamas, who stars with her family on the E! reality show Leave It to Lamas, is due in court December 9. She is best known for getting engaged to Matt Grant on the ABC reality show The Bachelor. Lamas and Grant split in July 2008.
