Britney Spears is being tipped for a regular spot on sitcom How I Met Your Mother, by one of its stars Alyson Hannigan Rumours have circulated the show’s bosses are considering Spears’ for a permanent turn on the show after ratings soared when she returned for a second stint, playing ditzy receptionist Abby on Monday evening’s episode.
Hannigan, who worked with Spears on set, is keen for her to come back full time.
She says, “She’s fantastic and just a really, really sweet girl.”
And the actress describes the media circus surrounding Spears’ presence: “Well the first episode was a big hoopla. A helicopter followed her into work and people were taking pictures of her off the parking structure. It was pretty crazy. But the second time they moved her trailer to a more isolated location and the paparazzi sort of left her alone I guess. Is the top of her head is it really that interesting?”

Britney Spears was involved in a minor car accident Tuesday afternoon, when she rear-ended a red Ford Explorer in Beverly Hills. “I think she was just distracted,” said a witness. “She just tapped the other car in front of her.”
Spears, 26, was at the wheel of her white Mercedes-Benz SL65 when she left her Studio City home for an afternoon drive. Shortly thereafter, she rear-ended the SUV. Her bodyguard, who was sitting shotgun, got out and apparently gave a business card to the other driver, a female. Police were not involved.
Witnesses say the driver of the Explorer followed Spears back to her gated community to exchange information, apparently suggested by the bodyguard to avoid press attention. Spears was involved in a fender bender in L.A. just last month on April 12.

Earlier this week, the pop star met her ex-husband Kevin Federline in court, where Britney was granted “expanded” visitation rights of their children. But their interaction hasn’t been limited to court appearances — Britney and Kevin are in regular contact. In fact, they’ve been having weekly steamy phone sex sessions.
Recently, when Britney was having a sleepless night, she decided to call Kevin at nearly 2 a.m. While they initially chatted about their boys — Preston, 2, and Jayden, 20 months — the conversation shifted. And as Britney hoped, Kevin knew exactly how to tire her out — with hours of erotic talk!
“They have phone sex often — at least once a week,” an insider tells Star. “The one thing those two have in common is their need for sex, and after they get going, there are no holds barred.”

Back in the old times, new parents would sit down with a good ole’ copy of the new baby book by Dr. Spock to help guide them in the daunting task of raising children. If your Jamie Lynn Spears, you don’t need no book, because you have your big sis to give you advice on motherhood (and because reading anything is for suckers). Brit Brit reportedly gave her younger sister mommy tips at an intimate shower at their parents’ home in Kentwood, Louisiana.
“To be able to be in the privacy of our own home and just be sisters again was wonderful. She told me, ‘There are going to be some long nights, but it is completely worth it.”
Last time I checked, Brit wasn’t exactly the first person you would ask for advice about motherhood…maybe advice about psychiatric drugs, but not motherhood.

Britney Spears has gained more visitation of her two young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James — though how much more is unclear.
K-Fed’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said after the court hearing today that he wouldn’t talk about the custodial timeshare between Brit and K-Fed — except to say that it is “more than it has been.” Kaplan said the modifications to custody made today will be implemented “in the near future” and Kevin’s “goal and his hope is his children will have the benefit of having two parents participating actively in their lives.”
Jamie and Lynne Spears released a statement that says they were “so pleased with Britney’s progress” and “very appreciative” of the court’s recognition of her progress.
Both parties will be back in court on July 15.

Troubled star Britney Spears shocked fellow gym-goers in Los Angeles after wandering into the exercise room wearing nothing but a towel. The singer was working out at Bally’s in Culver City on Monday and after she finished her routine, headed to the changing room to shower.
But after getting undressed, the singer headed back to the gym to collect a water bottle and was photographed walking through the crowded room bare foot with only a skimpy white towel to protect her modesty. Check out the photos.

So while most of us are busy trying to figure out how our “economic stimulus package” will actually buy anything, Britney Spears has been busy burning money like crude oil. Upon closer inspection of her finances, her father, Jamie, has realized that approximately $61 million has been lost since February of 2007. From US Magazine:
“It’s staggering how much money has been used up,” a family friend says.
In addition to the enormous tab for legal bills, rehab and psychiatric care, Britney’s inability to work has cost her a fortune. “By not touring for her last album [Blackout], she lost out on $50 million,” estimates Robert Bianchi, an LA-based CPA who isn’t an accountant for Britney. Jamie hired his own accountants to sort out the money mess and bring an end to the 26-year-old’s excessive spending.

Britney Spears will make another guest appearance on the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother,” People magazine reported on their Web site. “The show is ecstatic and so is Britney,” an unnamed source told People. “She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more.”
Spears, 26, garnered good reviews for her guest-starring role as a goofy receptionist in the March 24 episode of the show. The show ended with Spears’ character flirting with womanizer Barney (Neil Patrick Harris).
Earlier this month, an executive producer for the show said he’s open to having Spears return for another cameo. FOX studios would not confirm Spears was returning to the show, the Web site reported.

The attorneys involved with Britney Spears’ conservatorship will be paid for their time, Commissioner Reva Goetz ruled today.
There are two conservators of Spears’ financial, medical and legal decisions: Andrew Wallet and her father, Jamie. Wallet, who has not been paid yet, will be given $100,000. Jamie is being paid $2,500 per week.
Britney’s attorney, Samuel Ingham, will receive up to $10,000 per week through the end of July.
Jamie’s attorney, Geraldine Wyle, will get $175,000; trust attorney Clark Byam will be paid $22,500; and custody attorney Stacey Phillips will receive $75,000.
All of the fees, except for Ingham’s, account for costs accrued through March 31.

Britney Spears may be developing a relationship with Bally’s. She has reportedly been hitting the gym hard in Studio City. Bally’s spokesman, John Wildman:
“We don’t have a spokesperson relationship with Britney. She is a member and has been working out with our top two trainers who are in charge of our 5000 trainers. They are exclusively working with her.”
Getting Brit to be a spokeswoman would be brilliant! If you need one reason every day when you get up to not eat Cheetos, it’s Britney Spears.

Brit Brit might release her video diaries online, or through MTV. She has apparently been recording her life for the last six months and she talks about her family, friends, exes and even Christina Aguilera.
“Britney’s video diaries are the talk of the Tinseltown elite,” we’re told. “Her high-profile friends and exes - including Justin - knew what she was up to but assumed she was filming herself as a form of therapy. If she does decide to go public with the footage, it’ll be explosive.
“Although some of it is really sad to watch - especially the parts where she’s close to breakdown - others are dynamite. Not surprisingly both JT and Kevin Federline are terrified the material will end up all over the net.
