Brittany Murphy and her writer-director husband Simon Monjack are just weeks away from celebrating their April 12 first anniversary. Now the couple have set their sights on reaching another milestone: Starting a family. At a W Magazine-Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art gala over the weekend, Monjack, 38, told PEOPLE: “Please God, next year we’re having a family!”
“Yes! Yes!” chimed in Murphy, 30. “In about a year” they plan to have children. But, joked Monjack, “apparently, according to the Internet, I already have several!” Murphy and her British writer-director husband already have endured their share of public scrutiny – via, as they put it, “the blogs” – over their sudden marriage.
“All these ridiculous people came out and said all this nonsense when we got married, but thank god we had the substance and the history within that to say, ‘Yeah, whatever!’” says Monjack, who’s been friends with Murphy since she was 17. “We still don’t understand what happened. It’s made us laugh, it’s made us cry, but it’s made us stronger.” So, according to Murphy, the final solution for dealing with all the negativity: “We did stop using the Internet lately,” she said. “No blogs. We’re a blog-free couple!”

A source that used to work for Brittany Murphy has reportedly said that Brittany is convinced that “a high-powered Hollywood player” is stalking her. This past April, Murphy’s boyfriend at the time, Simon Monjack, disappeared for ten days with Murphy claiming that he had been kidnapped by agents of her stalker. Coincidentally, the dates that Monjack was missing correspond to the time that he was reportedly jailed by U.S. immigration for overstaying his visa.
“When he came back, he had head injuries,” says the former insider. “He was pale and sometimes had trouble standing.” Not only that, but the former staffer also claims Murphy said she was unable to pay him because the money had been used for ransom … Monjack, a screenwriter, is not short of enemies. Several anonymous sources have posted unflattering stories on the Internet about his past relationships. On June 13, a man identifying himself as Arturo Globenfeldt posted a message on Monjack’s Imdb.com page claiming he owes him $16 million in film investment money.
Brittany is definitely from Jersey because she is crazyin only a way someone from Jersey could be. Obviously this guy that she is dating/dated is a total douchebag and is feeding her lines of crap. Maybe she should go back to dating someone her own age instead of dating someone that’s like her dad, but in that creepy-old-man way.
