Ageing actress Demi Moore has proved she’s prepared to go to great lengths in an effort to feel revitalized, even by Hollywood standards. The 46-year-old has revealed she is a fan of a detox treatment that involves being covering in blood-sucking leeches.
The star, who is married to actor Ashton Kutcher, 30, recently visited Austria to receive the “leech therapy”. While on a visit to New York to promote her new movie Flawless, the star told U.S. talk show host David Letterman: “I feel like I’ve always been someone looking for the cutting edge of things that optimize your health and healing. “I was in Austria doing a cleanse and part of the treatment was leech therapy.
“These aren’t just swamp leeches though - we are talking about highly trained medical leeches. These are not some low level scavengers - we’re talking high level blood suckers.”
Leech therapy has a long history - ancient Egyptian doctors once considered them a cure-all. Today, they are sometimes used in plastic and reconstructive surgery to assist in the reattachment of severed body parts. She continued: “They have a little enzyme that when they are biting down in you it gets released in your blood and generally you bleed for quite a bit - and your health is optimized. “It detoxifies your blood - I’m feeling very detoxified right now. I did it in some woman’s house laying on her bed. We did a little sampler first, which is in the belly button.
“It crawls in and you feel it bite down on you and you want to go, ‘You bastard.’ Then you relax and work on your Lemaze breathing just to kind of relax. “You watch it swell up on your blood, watching it get fatter and fatter - then when its super drunk on your blood it just kind of rolls over like it is stumbling out of the bar.” Demi said had to prepare for the leeches by shaving and taking a bath in turpentine.
She is convinced the therapy is effective and plans to return to Austria for more sessions. She said: “You first feel worse then you feel better. But I’m going back - I only got 4 leeches and I feel a bit cheated.”

Ashton Kutcher’s wife discusses bringing her young husband into her family’s life, aging, Kabbalah, and her model extended family with her ex Bruce Willis. Of course, in typical Demi fashion, the interview is a family affair, with her husband, Scout and Tallulah also chiming in on their instant extended family.
Demi on bringing Ashton into her daughters’ lives:
“I didn’t bring somebody into their lives lightly. I looked at Ashton and thought, he’s 25 [he’s now 30]; it’s a lot to ask. Being with me isn’t about just being in a relationship with me; it’s about someone stepping into a situation where there is already a huge level of responsibility.”
Demi on the attention given to the age gap between her and Ashton:
“…People made such a fuss about it, you would have thought the world had never seen it before. Age wasn’t what I was thinking about, but to the rest of the world it was a very big deal.”

With the recent brouhaha surrounding Scientology and its followers, Kaballah’s golden couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have fallen off the radar. Sources close to the couple say the timing is good, because the couple’s relationship with the religion has been called into question as of late.
“Ashton and Demi used to have an impeccable attendance record,” says one source with close ties to the Kabballah Centre in L.A. Another source close to the couple says it’s been “months” since the two attended services or participated in the Shabbat dinner after Friday services. Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that Kutcher was just last week spotted shopping on Robertson Blvd. without his trademark red string.
What’s to blame for the couple’s flagging attendance?
Definitely not Moore’s kids, because they’ve never been active. “It’s something that Bruce Willis never allowed,” says the source with ties to the Centre. Others say that Kutcher was “tired of being dragged there on Friday nights.” Whatever the case, the sudden change in routine strikes those who know the couple, who were married in a Kabbalah ceremony, as worrisome. “It’s just odd,” says the source with ties to the Centre, “something must be up.”

Despite having three daughters, Demi Moore does her best not to overwhelm husband Ashton Kutcher with girl power at home. “We’re loaded with females,” the actress, 45, admits to V magazine for its spring preview issue, on sale Monday. “Recently we added a male puppy to our family mix. We had all female dogs before that.”
Moore also says she does other little things to keep things gender-balanced in the household. “Thank goodness I have a male assistant – otherwise Ashton would have gone from being a single guy with a male roommate to being overloaded,” she says.

When Soleil Moon Frye delivers her second child, she may once again have a comforting – and famous – friend at her side: Demi Moore. “This one,” Frye, 31, told People Magazine on Thursday, pointing to Moore at the grand opening of Frye’s eco-friendly baby boutique The Little Seed, “she’s the queen mama. She’s the most incredible mom.”
But Moore, 45, who was there with Frye when the Punky Brewster star gave birth to her daughter two years ago, says Frye “is doing just fine.” And will Moore, a mother of three, return to the delivery room for Frye next year? “I hope so!” Moore told People Magazine. “We got to keep the team together.”
“Are you kidding?” chimes in Frye, “She’s the best birthing coach in the entire universe.”
Frye is married to Jason Goldberg, 36, the producer of MTV’s prank show Punk’d that Moore’s husband, Ashton Kutcher, hosted. And while Frye draws strength from Moore, she also looks to her own daughter, 2-year-old Poet Sienna Rose Goldberg. “I learn more from her than she ever could learn from me,” Frye says. “She’s far wiser than I am.”

Not just young starlets have problems with nude pics leaking onto the internet, even the MILF’s of Hollywood have them too. According to Maxim Radio’s The Manertainment Report, Ashton Kutcher’s cell phone is being held for ransom to the tune of $1 million by a French taxi driver. Why such a high ransom you ask? Well, it’s because Kutcher’s phone contains over 30 pictures of Demi Moore in the nude!
Ashton forgot the phone in the cab and now the driver is threatening to sell the pictures of both Ashton and Demi nude, to the paparazzi. To top it off, the phone also contains a multitude of celebrity phone numbers.
I’d have to say that this cab driver is one of the luckiest men on the face of the planet. If there is one celeb over 40 that would actually look astounding in the nude, it’s Demi Moore. Hopefully Ashton won’t pay the ransom, but only time will tell. And I’m sure to him, $1 million is basically what you spend on a trivial weekend vacation, so he probably will foot the bill.

Demi Moore famously spent more than $260,000 remodelling her body in a desperate bid to stave off the ravages of time. Four years on and it seems Demi Moore is in need of a little cosmetic touch-up.
Wearing an elegant black chiffon dress and perched on a pair of four-inch high Christian Louboutin heels, the 44-year-old actress revealed a complexion marked heavily with wrinkles.
Where once her skin was taut and smooth, she now sports pronounced crow’s feet and deep set wrinkles. Heavy bags and shadowing around both eyes added to her apparent rapid aging. Ironically, her less than polished appearance came during the photocall of her new movie, Flawless.
Miss Moore’s latest public appearance comes four years after she made her first visit to the plastic surgeon.

She once spent more than $220,000 on a head-to-toe surgical makeover to make herself look younger. But four years later - and having failed to secure the string of big-money parts she had presumably hoped to win - Demi Moore has decided to speak out against ageism in Hollywood.
The 44-year-old told a magazine: “It’s been a challenging few years, being the age I am. Almost to the point where I felt like, well, they don’t know what to do with me. I am not 20. Not 30.
“There aren’t that many good roles for women over 40. A lot of them don’t have much substance, other than being someone’s mother or wife.”

Demi Moore seemed to have a lot to whisper about with Hilary Swank and Maggie Gyllenhaal as they sat in the front row at the Miss Sixty fashion show in Bryant Park yesterday. But Moore grew visibly upset later when she couldn’t reach her driver to bring her car around. A security guard who overheard her losing her cool helped her get away from all the people who were swarming her, and she was brought to the IMG lounge backstage. But that was even worse, The Post’s Marianne Garvey reports. There was a large group in the lounge that had won a contest to sit backstage. When Moore walked in, thinking she would be alone, they all began screaming her name and asking for autographs. Moore immediately left.
