DJ AM Died Of Accidental Drug Overdose

DJ AM Died Of Accidental Drug Overdose

The New York City Medical Examiner’s office announced Tuesday that the death of DJ AM has been ruled an accidental drug overdose. Spokeswoman Ellen Borakove said a number of drugs were found in his system.

"We've done the testing and investigation in conjunction with the NYPD and in our opinion this was an accidental overdose rather than suicide," Borakove told People magazine Tuesday.

DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, was found dead in his NYC apartment on August 28. Sources say OxyContin, cocaine and a crack pipe were found near his body. Borakove says drugs found in Goldstein’s body included cocaine, Levamisole, oxycodone, hyrdrocodone, Ativan, Klonapoin and Xanax.
